Sending ticket emails from your own domain

Short answer
In EventTix, open Settings, add a subdomain such as mail.yourstore.com under Sending domain (Pro), and add the three DNS records it shows at your DNS host. Click Verify. Once the domain is verified, ticket and reminder emails come from your own address. This needs the Pro plan.
What this does
By default, ticket emails come from tickets@geteventtix.com. On the Pro plan, they can come from an address on your own domain instead, for example tickets@mail.yourstore.com. Buyers see your brand in their inbox, and the emails are signed with DKIM and SPF, which helps them reach the inbox instead of spam.
Setup takes about 10 minutes, plus the time your DNS changes take to spread. You need access to your domain’s DNS settings.
Choose a subdomain
Use a separate subdomain such as mail.yourstore.com, not your main domain. This keeps ticket emails apart from your normal email, and the new records cannot clash with anything you already send from yourstore.com.
Add it in EventTix Pro
Open Settings and find Sending domain (Pro). Enter the subdomain in Sending domain and the part before the @ in Mailbox name (local part) (for example “tickets”). Click Add domain. EventTix shows a table of three DNS records.
Add the three records at your DNS host
Copy each record exactly as shown in the table. For mail.yourstore.com they look like this:
- TXT named resend._domainkey.mail, with a long value that starts with p= (your DKIM key; paste it as one value, do not split it)
- MX named send.mail, with priority 10
- TXT named send.mail, with a value that starts with v=spf1
The names are relative to your main domain. Most DNS hosts add your domain automatically, so enter only the short name. If your host asks for the full name, add your domain: resend._domainkey.mail.yourstore.com. Never enter the full name where the host adds the domain itself, or you get …yourstore.com.yourstore.com, the most common mistake.
Verify
Back in Settings, click Verify. DNS changes can take from a few minutes to 48 hours. While the domain is pending, EventTix checks again each time you open Settings, so you don’t need to keep clicking.
When the status turns verified, ticket and reminder emails switch to your address automatically.
Notes for common DNS hosts
- Cloudflare: DNS → Records → Add record. Set all three records to DNS only (grey cloud). Proxied records (orange cloud) fail verification.
- GoDaddy: Domain settings → DNS → Add new record. Enter the short name, for example send.mail. For the MX record, enter 10 as the priority.
- Namecheap: Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS. If email forwarding has locked the mail settings, switch them to Custom MX first.
Keep the records in place
EventTix checks your DKIM record every six hours. If it disappears, for example after moving your DNS to a new host, ticket emails switch back to the shared address straight away so buyers still get their tickets, and the app shows a notice. Add the records again and click Verify to switch back.
Still pending?
- Look the records up with a public tool such as dnschecker.org: the TXT record for resend._domainkey.mail.yourstore.com and the MX record for send.mail.yourstore.com. If they don’t show, they were saved under the wrong name.
- Emails still come from geteventtix.com? Sending switches only when the plan is Pro and the domain is verified.
